[EN] Last June 8th, I had the joy and privilege of opening the Forum on Current States of the Technological Automation organized by the Chilean publishing house, Qual Quelle. More concretely, it was an initiative put together by the philosopher Zeto Bórquez, who was not only able to come up with the concept and the inquiry that triggered the discussions, but he was also able to invite and gather a great group of people from South-America and Spain.
From my side, I collaborated with a talk on what I call Cybernetics of Exchange —which I started developing in a seminar class I gave for Master students in Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin this summer semester 2020—. Thus, the presentation summarizes the first half of a media-theoretical approach that attempts to discern and develop, through analyzing the media-epistemological and cybernetic scope of Chile’s project Cybersyn, a methodological framework to study the media-historical and media-technological period that, as its middle point, such a case draws. [ES] El pasado 8 de junio tuve la alegría y el privilegio de abrir el Foro en Estados Actuales de la Automatización Tecnológica, organizado por la editorial chilena Qual Quelle. Más concretamente, se trató de una iniciativa llevada a cabo por el filósofo Zeto Bórquez, quien no sólo desarrollo el concepto y las preguntas que detonaron la discusión, sino que además invitó y reunión un grupo muy interesante de personas de Sudamérica y España.
Por mi parte, colaboré con una presentación sobre lo que llamo Cibernética del [inter]cambio —lo cual comencé a desarrollar en una clase de seminario que di en Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin para estudiantes de Master, este semestre de verano 2020—. Así, la presentación resume la primera mitad de una aproximación de teoría de medios que busca discernir y así desarrollar, a través del análisis de los alcances media-epistemológicos y cibernéticos del proyecto Cyberyn, un marco metodológico para estudiar el período media-histórico y media-tecnológico que, como su punto medio, este caso dibuja.
